GAMAGUCHI - frame purse, which looks as mouth of a toad. "Gamagaeru" means toad and "kuchi" means mouth. In Japan, frogs are said to be lucky symbols.
SAKUSHU KASURI - produced in Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture. In the middle of Meiji Era, production of Kasuri started on the basis of the technique of "Kurayoshi Gasuri" but it declined in the Showa Era. In 1952 Hiroshi Sugihara revived the technique of weaving for private use. It was named "Sakushu Kasuri" when it was first marketed. Thick cotton fabric with incredible kasuri designs, dyed in indigo. High-quality fabrics have been woven in this region since ancient times.
