★ Vintage Japanese Kirara Dorei Bell - YATSUOMOTE WARE - USAGI ★
USAGI: considered a clever trickster, shown alongside water due to a myth, where white rabbit tricks sharks into lining up so it can cross the sea. They are also associated with the moon, as shadows on the moon are looking like a rabbit.
Bell is made by sprinkling mica produced from Yatsuomoteyama on tile soil and baking it. It is a symbol of love and happiness, dating back to the the end of the Edo period.
