Kokeshi - simple wooden doll that have been crafted for more than 150 years as a toy for children. Japanese dolls, originally from the northeastern region of Japan. They are handmade from wood, have a trunk and head with painted lines to define face. "Creative" kokeshi allow artist complete freedom in terms of shape, design and color, which were developed after World War II.
Yokai - supernatural entity and spirit in Japanese folklore. They are typically described as having spiritual or supernatural abilities, with shapeshifting being the most common trait associated with them.
